Dear Ryan Landers,

I just found out that I will not be able to attend this years Trolley Brawl. I was distraught. I was hoping that someone would tape it and I could get a copy. I was also hoping that someone would turn this years event into an article on UtahImprov.com. What should I do?

Sincerly,

Sleepless in North Carolina.

I'd be willing to put my writing skills to use and put up an artical about the weekend's events.

Sooner or later, we all got back to zero.

wow! awesome question!

the performers cannot vote in the show they are performing in.

but the performers can absolutely go to the other show and vote! for example, the performers on sunday can all go to the thursday show and vote (and vice versa).

there's gotta be more questions....

We want to encourage Trolley Brawl Teams to go to the show they are not performing in. We'll have a "Performer Pass", or something. So, to answer your question: No, performers will not have to pay*.

*If you can find $5, you may want to make a donation though.

Note: If the show is sold out, Performers who haven't paid will have to give up their seats for paying customers.

Okay okay, I have a question.

Why is it that no one can tell the difference between Clark Kent and super man, when really the only difference is the glasses and a different part in the hair. This has always boggled my mind. confused

Superman has bright blue eyes.

When he wear's his glasses, it mutes the color of his irises so that they look more gray. His glasses also help to change the contour of his face giving the appearance of a slightly different shape.

He combs his hair different and he slouches and talks in a softer, less bass of a voice.

Since he doesn't use any mask and has used supergirl and her ability to shape shift to appear to be in the same place at the same time with superman, people have no reason to think that they are one and the same.

This is paraphrased from two superman comic books I have read. Just passing it along.

Dear improv people,

What things should a first time watcher look for in a long form show? Are there secret nuances or tactics that, if I was aware of, may enhance my viewing expierence? Maybe like why Jesse creates violent characters who slap others and stuff. Oh, and there wil be poop jokes, right?

Sincerely, short form Brian

Look to be entertained.

Many long forms aim to connect scenes and explore themes set up in an opener. That usually has a big payoff, esp. when it's subtle.

I saw a wonderful move by Larry Ganz last Saturday where he had a character that talked about himself in the third person in one of the early scenes. About 15 minutes later he was an imaginary friend who wasn't needed any more and as he left with another imaginary friend he talked about himself in the third person. It was quick, not many people saw it, but I loved it.

Remind me to slap you next time we are on stage, Brian...

Favorite Line...

Joe when getting news about the war and finding out the Barbarians won a close battle...

"Did They cover?"

Then following with...

"Those Barbarians are my ticket to a better horse."

That's why we love Joe!
