Actors may sign-up for an audition slot in advance by calling Joseph at (801)891-6397. 14 roles are open for actors of all ethnicities and genders, ranging from late teens to adults. Very cool... I love seeing this come here... We'll try to get the word out and make it out to the audition.

I can't remember, but isn't this something where different groups do stuf at the same time in a basic competitive format? Not sure if I got that right or not... but it would be interesting.

Best of luck with the project and everything else...

Now we just need to get JoKyR on the site more often and finish up the "10 things".

No - the description is in the original post. 30 minute improvised film. Three groups take off and film three beats of three differnet scenes, with runners running tapes back for each beat. Then they all meet and figure out what's been going on and film one scene with everyone.

Yes... I read the original description... but I had thought that I'd read somewhere where a group used the "Project" and mixed it up with a competition format. I'll have to look for that and see if I can find it again.

I see the confusion

It was originally developed during NYC's CageMatch, which is an improv competition that is held at the UCB in NYC.

So.........

Is there a chance to tweak it to make it a film festival type of thing and/or a film competition?

Just a thought...

Certainly not this production.

Take away whatever you want and be inspired to do as you will.

Just wondering... and planting a seed for possibly something else down the road.

Jon and I were talking about the whole thing yesterday and we'll try to be out there for the audition, though Jonny is working a lot on Saturdays right now.

Again, I'm jsut excited to see the Project come out here. I've loved the idea since Jesse first brought it up over a year ago, but just haven't been able to put it together myself... Props to Joe for taking it on.

I was unable to make it out to the audition but tried to notify as many people as I could about it. I hope that all went well and that you got some good people for it.

Please keep us updated on when it will be put on so we can come out and see this unique show. Lately a lot of improvisors in the area have been making the jump to film and I think that we could really be a big force in something like this in the very near future.

Congrats to Joe for bringing it here...

Great job to everyone involved with the Project. I went to the Saturday show and had a blast! Unfortunately I had to run off to Quick Wits and didn't see the "after" show... but what I did see was top notch.

Joe and Jesse did another great job with their opening bit. In all honesty there were way too many highlights in their twenty minutes to do them any justice by trying to mention them. But I'm sure you can believe me when I say that they put on a Hell of performance.

The actual film Project was also great. I have to admit that I really thought the team of Shawn and Jesse had the most going in their scene, but all three were fun to watch and having them tie together at the end was very nice.

I hope that we see a lot more of these in the future and I'll be talking to Quick Wits about trying one of these as well.

All in all a great night and everyone should be very proud of the work they did.

Congrats!

Bob

You just liked our scene because we used your prop wink

Thanks for coming, Bob. We had a blast trying that format out. And any excuse to do a JoKyR and Jesster set is a good time for me.

To all of you who missed such highlights as Joe throwing up on a woman named Linda (Friday) and being thrown up upon, as well as the magic of the "lucky shirt" and the magic of germ-laden love(Saturday)... I pity you.

And I have to say that my favorite JoKyR and Jesster moment was the bit in the class where the Joe and Jesse played four different characters. I loved the way that they kept switching into the other parts and even took on parts that the other actor had started. It's a little confusing to try to talk about but it was a prime example of just how good the two of them are together.

And that was one of many great little scenes.

And, no, that fact that you used my prop was not the reason why I loved Jesse and Shawn's film bit the best. It didn't hurt, but it wasn't he only reason.

I thought the night was a great success and would love to be a part of the next one. We could even do it as part of a Quick Wits show if we get enough people to do it.... that's an invitation...

Mostly to Jesse and Joe,
I really am sorry I didnt make it. I have been having some health concerns lately and need to get them resolved before I get involved in more stuff. Just know it was nothing personal and I wish you a belated good luck cheesy
